Regional Finals
Should you be successful in qualifying from your Centre Round, you will progress as a pair (with the highest scorers from your round being paired together) to one of seven Regional Finals.
The Regional Finals will take place in July with the format of play: Betterball.
The Audi Events Team will notify qualifiers of their allocated Regional Final. Every effort will be made to ensure players qualify for their nearest Regional Final, however this cannot be guaranteed.
The locations for the 2017 Regional Finals are as follows:
Wednesday 12 July: The Celtic Manor Resort, Wales
Built to stage The 2010 Ryder Cup, the first course to be built specifically for golf’s greatest team tournament, it measures a robust 7,493 yards off the back tees and has a par of 71. With water hazards on half of its holes, the course has six signature holes and presents many more memorable tests and risk-and-reward dilemmas. One of the features of the spectacular new course is its variety with many of the earlier holes having a links-like feel with long rough and greenside swales, before the middle section reveals the full extent of the lake-lined challenge. A tough finishing stretch culminates in a real sting in the tail at the 18th.
Thursday 13 July: The Belfry Golf Club, Warwickshire
Designed by Dave Thomas and Peter Alliss, the majestic fairways and carpet-smooth greens of The Brabazon form a world-famous stage on which some of golf’s most exhilarating dramas have played out. Legendary in the world of golf, and the spiritual home of the Ryder Cup, The Brabazon’s perilous bunkers and lakes have tested some of the greatest players including Ballesteros, Woods and Faldo.
Tuesday 18 July: The London Club, Kent
The International course is one of the finest downland courses in Europe. Fast, undulating fairways allow you to chase the ball into position. The course is punctuated with exciting risk and reward tee shots over water. The International recently hosted both Regional Open Qualifying and European Tour Qualifying School.
Tuesday 25 July: The Carrick, Loch Lomond
Nine holes on the high road, nine on the low road. Prepare yourself for an epic journey of stunning greens, majestic highland backdrops, brilliantly peppered with bunkers and of course the world's most beautiful water hazard - the great loch itself.
Thursday 27 July: Rockliffe Hall, County Durham
Designed by Hawtree, the world-renowned course architects, Rockliffe Hall’s Golf Course is one of the most challenging in Europe. While its full 7,879 yards from the back tees will give even the best professional tour golfer a stern test, most will find the five individual tee boxes on each hole a welcome addition.
Friday 28 July: The Mere Golf Resort and Spa, Cheshire
The James Braid designed 18 hole, 6,882 yard, par 71 Championship course was created out of 150 acres of Cheshire parkland in 1934. Water, ravines and thick vegetation have been incorporated into the layout so that care and accuracy are demanded both off the tees and on the greens.
Thursday 3 August: Woburn Golf and Country Club, Bedfordshire
The Duke's Course designed by Charley Lawrie opened in 1976 and was the first of Woburn's three courses to be constructed. The 6,983 yard Duke's course was the location for the British Masters for 20 years, as well as hosting the Women's British Open Championship and more recently the Travis Perkins plc Senior Masters.
